About Me

Considering this is my blog, I should add some bit about myself. Never knew it’s so hard to make it short. I’ve been in the IT business for like 10 years before I moved to other hobbies that mostly ended up also being jobs. Photography, saltwater aquariums, RC models, board gaming, to name a few. Yet…

While board games and fantasy books are my passions, they share a slot with my good ol’ friend the photography. Started with a Nikon D80 that was truly bad at low lighting, moved to D300 which I hated for no reason, then switched to Canon for a while and finally settled on Sony A77 paired with 16-35mm f/2.8 ZA SSM, 24-70 f/2.8 ZA SSM, 50mm f/1.4 and some other lens. I never liked any of these for plenty of reasons and while I wanted a mirrorless α system the moment I saw A7S, I just had other things to do.

Recently I managed to sell (mostly) everything and I’ve decided to build a system around A7R II and start a blog about my travels and experience with various lenses. My goal is to collect most of the “native” compatible autofocus FE lens and review every new one released in the future for as long as Sony keeps supporting the E-mount. Clicking on any of the ads and buying stuff from Amazon following the links in the blog would help me a lot.

Currently I live in Sofia, Bulgaria. I’m happily married to my wife Alexandra and we have a godlike son I adore.
